Delacroix at The Met
delacroix_header.jpg
2018 is the year of Eugène Delacroix at The Met. Not only do visitors have the opportunity to view Delacroix—the first North American exhibition offering a comprehensive look at the artist’s career—but they can also explore more than one hundred of his works on paper in Devotion to Drawing: The Karen B. Cohen Collection of Eugène Delacroix.

Take a walk through sketches, watercolors, and other works on paper by Delacroix with Assistant Curator Ashley Dunn to learn about Delacroix’s artistic practice, as well as his love of nature and literature.

Listen to an exclusive conversation with Associate Curator Asher Miller as he discusses Delacroix’s life and work, and the artist’s lifelong appetite for reinvention.
